File ▸ Share publishes the sculpt on screen as a link. Anyone with the link can turn the sculpt around in a 3D viewer in their browser. They need no account and nothing to install, and the link shows a picture of the sculpt when it is pasted into a chat.
A share is a copy of what is visible at the moment you share: every visible layer, merged into one mesh, with its paint colour and the material it was shown with. It is never your project. Your layers, subdivision levels, masks and settings stay with you.
Making a link
- Open File ▸ Share. You need to be signed in.
- Give the link a Title. This is what people see on the page and in the preview.
- Press Share. The mesh is compressed and uploaded, and the link appears in the dialog.
- Press Copy and paste it wherever you like.
The Free plan keeps five links at a time; delete one to make room for another. Pro has no limit. A shared sculpt has to come out under 100 MB once compressed; if yours is larger, step down a subdivision level and share again.
Include sculpt history
Switch on Include sculpt history before you press Share and the link also carries how the sculpt was made: up to 40 moments spread across its history, from the starting shape to the finished sculpt.
In the viewer a second bar appears with a Play button and a scrub bar. People can play the sculpt coming together, stop anywhere and turn the model at that moment.
- It is off unless you switch it on, every time.
- Baking the moments takes a little while on a long history, and Undo starts afresh afterwards.
- A share with history still counts as one share.
- Each moment is a lighter copy of the sculpt (about 120,000 triangles at most), so the link stays quick to open.
Allow Remix
Switch on Allow Remix and the viewer shows a Remix button. Anyone who presses it opens the shared mesh in Re:Form as a new sculpt of their own, after signing in the usual way. It works on every plan, for you and for them.
- They get the mesh the viewer shows, with its paint colour, as one layer. They never get your project, and nothing they do changes your sculpt or your link.
- If your link has history and they are looking at an earlier moment, they start from that moment.
- Credit name is the name your work is credited to. When somebody shares a sculpt they started from yours, their link says Remixed from your title by your credit name, and the title links back to your share. Leave the name empty and the credit shows the title alone.
- Allow Remix is off unless you switch it on, every time you share. A link made without it can never be remixed.
- A remix remembers where it came from, in its saved project and in its project file, however much it is changed.
To stop a link being remixed, delete it in File ▸ My shares and share again without the switch.
Embed the viewer on a website
Every link can also be shown inside a web page of your own, such as a portfolio or a blog post.
- Share the sculpt, then press Embed beside the link. For a link you made earlier, open File ▸ My shares and press Embed on its row.
- Paste what was copied into your page's HTML. It is a single
<iframe>and needs nothing else.
The embedded viewer is the same viewer with fewer controls: people can turn the sculpt, zoom, go fullscreen, and play the history if the link has one. A small Made in Re:Form link opens the share's full page in a new tab.
You can change the width and height in the code to suit your page. If you delete the share, the embedded viewer says the sculpt is no longer available.
Managing your links
File ▸ My shares lists every link you have made, newest first. For each one you can Copy link, Embed, Rename or Delete. Deleting a link stops it working for everyone who has it, removes its history, and frees a place on the Free plan. Your sculpt is not affected.
