Guides & documentation

Everything you need to go from your first sphere to a finished sculpt — organised by what you're trying to do.

Documentation is on its way. The map below is the shape it will take — each entry becomes a full walkthrough. The keyboard & mouse controls reference below is live now.

Getting started

Coming soon

Open a tab and make your first sculpt in a couple of minutes.

  • Set up your account
Create an account, sign in, and open the studio.
  • What you need to run Re:Form
Browser, graphics card and system requirements.
  • A tour of the studio
The tool rail, menus, panels and viewport at a glance.

Sculpting basics

Coming soon

The handful of habits that make everything after them easier.

  • Navigate the viewport
Orbit, pan and zoom around your model.
  • Your first strokes
Draw, Clay and Smooth — the three brushes to start with.
  • Size, strength & falloff
Dial in exactly how a brush feels.
  • Symmetry & masking
Sculpt both sides at once and protect finished areas.

The brush set

Coming soon

What each brush is for, and when to reach for it.

  • Build brushes
Draw, Draw Sharp, Carve, Clay, Clay Ribbon, Inflate and Crease.
  • Surface brushes
    Smooth, Relax, Polish and Noise.
  • Plane brushes
Flatten, Fill, Scrape, Trim and Inset.
  • Grab & pose
Move large forms with the Grab brush.

Detail & topology

Coming soon

Add resolution where it counts and keep the mesh clean.

  • Subdivision & the triangle budget
Add detail where you need it, speed everywhere else.
  • Remesh
Re-flow stretched topology into clean, even triangles.
  • Working with layers
Split work across sculpt layers, reorder, merge and flatten.

Paint & materials

Coming soon

Give the surface colour and a material response.

  • Vertex paint
Paint, Blend, Blur and Smear colour straight onto the mesh.
  • Roughness & metalness
Turn a sculpt into something that reads as a material.
  • Lighting & display
Matcap, Unlit and Lit shading modes.

Files & export

Coming soon

Get work in, save it safely, and take it wherever it needs to go.

  • Import & export formats
OBJ, STL, GLB and FBX — what goes where.
  • .clay files & autosave
Snapshot your whole session, layers included.
  • Sculpt for 3D printing
From first stroke to a print-ready mesh.
